It’s hard to avoid the Derry Girls when you visit Derry.  Signs of the hit TV sitcom are everywhere.  There is the massive mural painted on the side of Badger’s Bar.  There is the Derry Girl Experience exhibition in the Tower Museum.  And there is merchandise galore from mugs with quotes by Sister Michael on them to hoodies emblazoned with the ‘Wee English Fella’.

However, it’s only on a wet Friday evening, after Happy Hour is over, when you get to meet the real Derry Girls.
