Environmental protesters campaigning about Walkers Crisps non-recyclable packaging have been urging people to send the empty crisps packets back to Walkers, and the Royal Mail don’t like it.

The Royal Mail is asking campaigners to put their empty wrappers in a normal envelope before posting, because the loose crisp wrappers can’t go through their sorting machines.  It would appear that Ready Salted is not readily sorted.

Personally, I’ve been using Walkers’ crisp packets as a cheap source of envelopes for years, precisely because they are so hard to destroy.
